CETENA is a center of excellence for the development of advanced engineering solutions in the maritime and naval sector. As part of the strengthening of the Business Unit dedicated to safety, we are looking for a professional to be included in a multidisciplinary and international context. The resource will be involved in activities of evaluation, analysis and verification of on-board systems, plants and design solutions, with the aim of supporting the development of complex naval units compliant with applicable requirements. The role is preferably aimed at candidates with a background in Naval Engineering or with experience in the maritime, offshore or industrial sectors characterized by complex systems and high reliability requirements.
Conduct engineering analyses on systems and plants installed on board.
Perform risk analyses on mechanical, electrical, automation systems and complex plant configurations.
Support verifications against project requirements, international regulations and industry standards.
Contribute to the study of innovative or unconventional solutions through comparative analyses and feasibility studies.
Prepare and review project documentation, reports, engineering notes and deliverables.
Participate in meetings with shipyards, shipowners, classification societies, authorities and national or international partners.
Carry out, when required, activities on board ships or at production sites.
Master's degree preferably in Naval Engineering, or in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, Nuclear Engineering or similar disciplines.
Ability to analyze complex systems and technical project documentation.
Knowledge of CAD tools, preferably MicroStation.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Office package.
Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
Willingness to participate in meetings, inspections and operational activities on board.
Preferential requirements
Previous experience in similar roles in the naval, maritime, offshore or industrial sectors.
Familiarity with international regulations applicable to the sector, in particular IMO and SOLAS.
Knowledge of methodologies such as HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis or equivalent approaches.
Experience in the evaluation of on-board systems, functional architectures or integrated systems.
Knowledge of software tools and programming languages such as Python, C# or equivalent.
Experience with SQL and database-driven workflows considered a plus.

Compensation & Benefit Package
For the position in question, the gross annual salary will be between € 31,400 and € 41,000.
