An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a** Finance Manager.**
You will be responsible for running the finance department to ensure the business is operating smoothly and efficiently maintaining great communication with other departments, while improving company procedures and day-to-day operations. We are looking for somebody who can grow besides the business, who has a passion to help others while working in a high paced and dynamic environment. Someone who is driven, continually looking to improve and is not afraid to challenge the norms and ask why we do things and how we can do things better.
Creating monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and IFRS and associated reports
General ledger account reconciliation
End of month accounting entries (accruals, prepaid expenses)
Management of the inventory and its related implications
Monitoring/supporting invoicing and dunning and aged debtor management and account reconciliation
Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial systems and supporting future system developments.
Managing further development of SAP and other IT systems
Annual budget and budget review preparation
Controlling
Cash flow planning
Releasing payment runs
Contact person for bank, auditors and tax advisors
VAT and statistical reports
We are looking for an applicant who is energised, trustworthy, and hard-working, with excellent communication and team working skills. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude with a courteous and helpful approach. Overall, we are looking for someone who has/is:
Pro-active, problem-solver, highly organised, flexible, and personable
Accuracy and great attention to details is essential
Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan, prioritise workload and respect deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook), databases and internet usage
Degree in Accounting
SAP knowledge
IFRS knowledge
Consolidation systems
“Can do attitude” and driven
Proven experience in a similar role (at least 2-3 years) in a manufacturing industry or from a big four audit company
Fluent in English and German
