Practice Area

BCG Platinion launched in Germany in 2000 to add deep technical expertise to the Boston Consulting Group’s existing capabilities. Today, our presence spans across the globe, with offices in Asia, Europe, and South and North America. Our New York-based North American team began in 2014 and in 2017 acquired MAYA Design, a Pittsburgh-based digital design and innovation lab, to grow our capabilities around technology and design.

We support our clients’ total digital transformation through technology, design, cybersecurity, and risk management & financial engineering capabilities. And together with BCG, BCG Platinion’s interdisciplinary team of technical experts enable customized technical solutions and accelerate delivery value through new business platforms, application consolidations, and major system implementations.

We are keen to engage with experienced, visionary, and strategic IT Architects who will help us unlock our client’s digital potential and ignite change.

You will play a key role in defining IT master plans and shaping enterprise-wide architecture strategies that bridge technology and business objectives. Working hand-in-hand with senior executives and C-level stakeholders, you will influence strategic decisions at the highest level, translate business ambition into actionable architecture blueprints, and ensure long-term resilience, scalability, and innovation.

As a Senior IT Architect, you will provide guidance on complex challenges such as large-scale digital transformation, tech modernization, cloud strategies, or due diligence. You will also contribute to enterprise-wide architecture master planning, helping organizations structure their technology foundations.

You will regularly act as a strategic advisor to CIOs, CTOs, and other C-level leaders, supporting them in high-impact decisions on technology investments, transformation roadmaps, and digital resilience. Your expertise will enable you to challenge the status quo, inspire innovation, and drive sustainable competitive advantage.

You will be working on complex and exciting problems at enterprise and global scale across multiple industries (public sector, industrial goods, banking, telecommunication, media, and more). Our Expert Consulting Track

The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCG’s ability to successfully meet our clients’ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the ‘best of BCG’ to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.

What You'll Bring

• 4 to 8 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise architecture, or large-scale transformation programs, ideally within client-facing and strategic advisory environments.

• Proven experience engaging with C-level stakeholders, contributing to strategic decision-making, and supporting the definition of long-term technology roadmaps.

• Strong expertise in one or more of the following areas: data architecture, solution architecture, cloud-native architecture, or enterprise integration.

• Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms and ecosystems; relevant certifications such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Salesforce are considered a strong advantage.

• Strategic and business-oriented mindset, with the ability to connect business ambitions to scalable and impactful technology solutions.

• Passion for technology and innovation, with a strong ambition to build a long-term career in technology consulting while continuously expanding technical and strategic expertise.

• Professional fluency in English, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Engineering degree or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
