What to expect
As our Senior Backend Engineer, you are the foundational builder of our SaaS platform. You are not operating in a silo. You will partner directly with frontend engineers, DevOps, and data scientists, stepping in to ensure our complex AI-driven outputs are exposed through highly reliable and lightning-fast backend interfaces. Once the architectural needs are defined, you will build out secure Java/Spring Boot APIs, implement complex business logic, and architect robust PostgreSQL data models. You own the backend integrity: implementing robust authentication, ensuring proper data isolation in a multi-tenant environment, and seamlessly integrating backend services with heavy data-processing workflows. Throughout it all, you will bring senior engineering judgment to the table, acting as the pragmatic voice that balances technical excellence with rapid product evolution, identifies technical risks, and helps shape the team's engineering direction.
What you will do

Design and build secure, scalable REST APIs and backend services using Java/Spring Boot, encompassing full business logic, validation, data persistence, and error handling.

Contribute to complex multi-tenant SaaS backend features, ensuring strict and secure data isolation across the platform.

Seamlessly integrate backend services with intense data-processing workflows. Build out APIs dedicated to data ingestion, processing status, advanced analytics results, and dashboards.

Architect and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, queries, migrations, and indexes to ensure optimal performance and reliable data storage.

Implement bulletproof authentication and authorization-related backend logic, safeguarding our platform and client data.

Write comprehensive unit and integration tests. Actively participate in code reviews to elevate the overall quality and resilience of our backend infrastructure.

Provide realistic estimates and boldly raise risks when implementation choices are unclear. Work hand-in-hand with frontend, DevOps, product, and data teams to align technical reality with product vision.
