Job Description:

Within the Cyber & Security Solutions Business Area of Leonardo S.p.A, we are looking for a System Engineer for our office in Firenze-Campi Bisenzio.

The selected person will be part of the MCX System Design Team of the Broadband & 5G Engineering organizational unit and will be responsible for:

• Defining the architecture and development of MCX functionalities (MCPTT, MCVideo, MCData) in line with the latest 3GPP standards and customer requirements.

• Designing the application integration with 4G/5G network architectures through core nodes PCRF, PCF/NEF, and others, for QoS management and other network services.

• Working closely with software development teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.

• Supporting business lines during tender and project phases by collaborating in defining system solutions.

Educational qualification:

Three-year or specialist degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science or Electronics or equivalent qualification.

Seniority:

At least 3 years of experience in 3GPP networks. Preferably, active participation experience in the 3GPP standard is welcome.

Technical skills:

• Good knowledge of 3GPP standards and technologies related to MCX, 4G, 5G, IMS.

• Understanding of microservices architectures, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud technologies.

• Familiarity with signaling and streaming protocols (SIP, RTP/RTCP, HTTP/2, REST/SBA-based protocols).

• Knowledge of the basic functioning of telecommunications networks

Other

• Availability to undertake short trips within Italy, EU and extra-EU.
