Controls DVT Engineer – Plymouth, MN – Hybrid
Daikin Applied is seeking a Controls DVT Engineer responsible for planning, developing, and executing test cases and testing strategies for Daikin Controls products to deliver high quality HVAC products and solutions. You will provide automated testing expertise and oversight to meet the performance and environmental requirements of the Daikin products.

Location: Hybrid, Plymouth, MN
Your Responsibilities:
Create test plans, and procedures to evaluate the software performance and operation
Build software testing programs that automate testing processes
Run the software testing procedures to evaluate the software
Document all testing procedures
Report bugs and make recommendations to improve the software product
Collaborate with test engineers, software programmers, and other team members
Retest software after bugs are fixed to ensure the program works properly
Attend meetings with the development team, clients and other groups
Your Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of work experience preferably in software or hardware testing
Working knowledge of Agile development practices and Azure DevOps
Working experience with software test tools and processes, building and testing frameworks, and consumer-facing applications and APIs
Excellent English communication skills advanced both written and spoken
Good communication, planning and organization/control skills; strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Ability to be work both independently and as part of a team
Your Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Model based testing with Simulink
Experience with Hardware-in-the-loop and Model-in-the-loop testing
Good understanding of coding on C/C++ and C# programming language
Working knowledge in analysis, design, and programming
Working experience of scripting and configuration tools
Experience working with international teams

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $74,200 - $124,300 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
