JOB DESCRIPTION
The candidate will be highly skilled advanced Robotics Engineer to join our innovative team. We are seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automated systems, including ARVs, robotics, and overhead transport, in a microelectronics manufacturing environment. The role ensures compliance with SEMI standards and involves collaboration with production, logistics, and maintenance teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced robotic systems into dark factory / zones.
Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reporting: Reports to the Industrial Engineering 5.0 HoD
Program Support: Support the ST Malta Sites dark lines / factory automation program, from substrate to final test.
Design and Development:
Testing, Validation and Release to Production:

Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in robotics engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB®.
Experience with robotic frameworks such as ROS (Robot Operating System).
Knowledge of Semiconductor manufacturing frontend / EWS / backend
Strong knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, and control systems.
Familiarity with sensors, actuators, and embedded systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to document technical processes effectively.
