Your main mission as a 3R Attendant is to support our environmental initiatives by ensuring the effective implementation of waste reduction, reuse, and recycling programs across the property. The 3R Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, promoting responsible resource use, and upholding Iberostar’s commitment to sustainable operations, the protection of our oceans, and environmental stewardship.
Prepare and organize materials and equipment needed for daily 3R operations according to the Sustainability Department’s operational manual
Execute the property’s “3R Management Plan,” ensuring all assigned areas meet recycling, waste segregation, and sustainability standards
Collect, separate, and transport recyclable, reusable, and compostable materials following established guidelines
Monitor waste disposal areas to ensure bins, containers, and collection points are properly labeled, sanitized, and maintained
Conduct daily inspections of recycling stations, storage rooms, and waste disposal areas to ensure hygiene and compliance
Support deep cleaning and maintenance of sustainability facilities, including recycling centers and waste rooms, ensuring functionality and safety
Assist in recording waste volumes, material recovery data, and other sustainability metrics as required by the 3R Supervisor
Promote and practice the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to ensure personal and environmental safety
Collaborate with other departments (Kitchen, Housekeeping, Maintenance, etc.) to ensure proper waste segregation and recycling practices are followed
Follow company policies, sustainability procedures, and internal regulations in all work-related tasks
Academic Qualification: Basic Education
Experience:
Previous experience in environmental services, waste management, or similar roles is an advantage
Basic knowledge of recycling procedures, sustainability practices, and waste handling
Physical ability to lift, move, and transport materials, and work outdoors for extended periods
