Room Attendant

Your main mission as a Room Attendant is to provide quality housekeeping service for all hotel guests that exemplify the Company values in the day to day execution of the job and in compliance with housekeeping standards and procedures as outlined.

As Housekeeping, What will your day-to-day work be like?:

• Collect the key to your section and Tablet in security to start your working day.

• Update the information in the digital tool, when entering and leaving the room so that all the areas involved know the status of the room.

• Adheres to very high standards for overall cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and hotel facilities.

• Ensure the cleanliness, and maintenance of guest rooms.

• Clean guestrooms in accordance with Company standards and expectations.

• Ensure special cleaning duties are carried out in all areas as per the cleaning standard.

• Communicate any maintenance issues, breakages and complaints to Supervisor or Manager immediately

• Adhere to procedures for the security of property – company, guest and personal.

• Ensure the privacy and security of all guestrooms.

• Deal with Lost and Found Items promptly

• Maintain stocked and clean carts.

• Safe transport of cart to assigned guest rooms

• Accommodate guest requests for Housekeeping items or additional supplies in an expedient and courteous manner

• Ensure the correct use of cleaning agents on all surfaces and that manufacturer’s instructions on cleaning agents are observed.

• Adhere to safety procedures whenever lifting, pushing or pulling.

• Must be able to understand and follow written or oral instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues and visitors

• Must be flexible and willing to take initiative in identifying and performing work that needs to be done.

• Follow and adhere to GRAND practices and procedures as outlined by Company standards and Local laws.

• Ensure safety practices and procedures are being followed as outlined by Company standards.

• Understand and strictly adhere to all Health, Safety and Hygiene compliance regulations as laid down by the company and law.

• Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and appearance, wearing the appropriate uniform / protective clothing.

• Attend hotel and departmental training sessions whenever instructed.

• Practice the correct use and care of all equipment.

• Demonstrate courteous, friendly, professional work environment.

Cleaning Morning:

• Attend the briefing to receive general information about the Hotel and follow up.

• Maintain work tools in good condition to ensure their proper functioning.

• Pick up cleaning equipment, amenities and a basket at the General Clothes Shop to ensure that they have everything they need to clean their section.

• Place the cart in your Office to ensure that you have the complete equipment.

• Verify cleanliness and order of the corridors of your section to collect dishes and garbage.

• Go through its section to check the status of the rooms.

• Clean the room in accordance with the Procedure: Room Cleaning and Procedure: Departure to ensure that the rooms are delivered in optimal cleaning conditions.

• Take a tour of the corridors of your section at the end of your shift, to pick up the dishes, garbage and see if there are cleaning cards.

• Arrange the Office so that it is clean and tidy for the next shift.

Cleaning Afternoon:

• Maintain work tools in good condition to ensure their proper functioning.

• Support in all the activities that your supervisor requires when you do not have pending cleaning of rooms.

• Make the rooms assigned for night courtesy.

• Take a tour of the corridors of your section at the end of your shift, to collect the crockery, garbage.

• Arrange the Office so that it is clean and tidy for the next shift.

Who is the ideal person for this position?:

Academic Qualification: Basic Education

Experience: 1 year experience in specific position

Skills:

• Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish.

• Previous experience in hotel operations.

• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment.

• Ability to work unsupervised, must be focused and detailed.

• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.

• Ability to communicate comprehensively.

• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish with guests, management, employees, and outside contractors to their understanding.
