Data Scientist (Torre MOEVE, Madrid, Spain)

What will your role be?

Integrated into the Technology, Projects, and Services area, you will be responsible for developing the necessary algorithmics by applying the required analytical techniques for the development of Digital Transformation initiatives. These will be associated with a functional domain and/or analytical technologies.

Description of functions

• Design, develop, and implement end-to-end pipelines in AWS environments for the execution of mathematical optimization and machine learning projects (data exploration, sampling, training data generation, feature engineering, model building, and performance evaluation)

• Translate complex business problems into data science modeling strategies and solutions.

• Ensure that pipelines are scalable, repeatable, and secure, as well as capable of serving multiple users across the company.

• Investigate, code, test, and document new or modified data systems to create genuinely new, robust, and scalable analytics applications.

Who are we looking for?

• Education: Master's degree or PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline

• Languages: English (Minimum B2)

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science and/or mathematical optimization problems; 4-5 years is desirable for roles with higher seniority.

• Experience in machine learning projects (classification, regression, forecasting). Especially applied in industrial processes and/or B2B environments.

• Experience in the formulation and implementation of mathematical optimization solutions. Optimization applied to logistics problems is recommended.

• Experience in developing and deploying solutions on cloud platforms (AWS)

• Knowledge of best practices for code management in repositories (git, CI/CD)

• Experience with object-oriented design, code development, testing, and experience in high-volume software and data engineering platforms.

• Experience in developing presentations and communications for internal and external stakeholders.

It would be ideal if you also have:

• Knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms and Python data science ecosystem libraries (pandas/polars, scikit-learn, …)

• Familiarity with mathematical optimization libraries in Python (Pyomo)

• Ability to work with distributed systems using open-source tools

• Knowledge of MLOps tools or services (MLFlow, Kubeflow, Sagemaker)
