Product Market Lead — Apex Legends (Japan)
As part of the EA Japan Publishing team, you will lead Product × Market strategy for Apex Legends in Japan. Reporting to the General Manager of Japan, you will work with Respawn Entertainment and publishing teams to translate market insights into recommendations that improve player engagement, commercial performance, and live service execution. You will focus on one of the world's most important gaming markets, ensuring the voice of Japanese players informs product and publishing decisions.
You will be the primary advocate for the Japanese player, bringing together product performance, community feedback, creator trends, competitive intelligence, and market insights to support better product and publishing decisions.
You will partner across Analytics, Marketing, Community, Franchise, and Studio teams to influence decisions and create outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Lead Product × Market strategy and recommendations for Apex Legends in Japan
Translate player behaviour, performance data, community sentiment, and market trends into relevant recommendations for Studio and Publishing teams
Partner with Analytics, Marketing, Community, and Franchise teams to develop a unified view of market performance and player needs
Identify opportunities to improve player acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetisation through product and publishing recommendations
Monitor the Japanese gaming landscape, including competitor activity, creator ecosystems, cultural trends, and live service best practices
Represent the Japanese market perspective in discussions with Respawn Entertainment and global teams
Help prioritize opportunities by assessing commercial impact, player value, and implementation considerations
Track agreed actions, monitor progress, and capture insights to improve future recommendations
Provide strategic input into Live Ops planning, GTM plans, creator programs, partnerships, and market-specific engagement opportunities
Build relationships to align Publishing and Studio teams around shared market priorities
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in product management, publishing, marketing, analytics, strategy, or growth within the video game or entertainment industry
Experience with live service games and main performance drivers, including player engagement, retention, and monetisation
Knowledge of the Japanese gaming market, player behaviours, and creator ecosystem
Experience working with international teams to influence product or commercial decisions
Experience using data and insights to inform product development, Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners with the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations
Commercially minded with experience evaluating opportunities, trade-offs, and growth
Native-level Japanese and strong English skills
Experience with competitive multiplayer games; familiarity with Apex Legends or other live service FPS titles
