Job Description: Surveyor Reporting: NS/NC Manager
TASKS – ACTIVITIES – RESPONSIBILITIES
1. General Responsibilities:
Responsible for reviewing, evaluating and approval quality inspection reports to determine conformity with specified reference requirements (standards, specifications, regulation, etc.).
Assist QA/QC Engineer in the preparation, updating and issue reports
Leads in the conducts of quality survey on materials and service supplier
2. Main Duties:
At the commencement of the inspection / surveillance:
Review of inspection assignment documentation (technical aspects, reference documentation, schedule, format of reports, logistics, coordination procedure, etc. need for the performance of the inspection / surveillance)
Review of Quality Plan and/or relevant procedures or records of the similar previous inspection / surveillance;
During inspection / surveillance:
Ensure perform pre-inspection meeting with client to confirm roles and scope of BV intervention, to confirm the report process and clarify any matter required by client in connection with the inspection
Ensure proper execution of inspection according to Quality Plan / appropriate inspection procedures / technique specifications / reference documentations
Survey at yard for new construction of ships or offshore units in accordance class requirement (IACS).
Survey on board for the vessels or offshore unit in service in accordance with class requirement (IACS)
Audit manufacture or management company
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Graduated from Marine University or equivalent, Naval Architect or Marine Engineer
+8 years experience Marine industry; acceptable for candidates who has experience in QA/QC in Ship manufacturing industry.
Ho Chi Minh base is a must.
Qualified in quality assurance, quality control and inspection
Certified CSWIP or AWS welding inspector – level 2 or above
Certification of relevant qualification (NDT, QA/QC, Welding inspector...)
TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
Good command of spoken and written English with computer literacy.
Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Self-discipline, ability to work independently and coordinate several activities simultaneously
Able to interact with all levels of management, suppliers, and clients
Good at observing, analyzing, and reporting.
