We are seeking an experienced Area Project Lead to oversee non-destructive testing (NDT) operations across assigned accounts in the Oil & Gas sector. This leadership role combines technical expertise, project management, and team development to deliver high-quality NDT services that meet client specifications and industry standards.
Develop comprehensive project plans with realistic timelines and resource allocation
Ensure project execution aligns with client requirements and delivery deadlines
Monitor schedule adherence and adjust resources as needed
Allocate CNDT (Certified NDT Technician) and ANDT (Assistant NDT Technician) personnel based on project scope
Procure and manage equipment, tools, and materials for field operations
Coordinate necessary training and certifications for team members
Optimize resource utilization across multiple projects
Ensure all NDT work meets industry standards (ASME, ISO, API, ASTM)
Verify compliance with client specifications and regulatory requirements
Conduct quality inspections and audits
Maintain documentation of quality metrics and corrective actions
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
Conduct regular status meetings and progress updates with clients
Address client concerns and manage expectations
Build long-term partnerships through professional communication
Enforce strict adherence to OSHA, HSE, and company safety protocols
Perform site safety walks and inspections as required
Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements
Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures
Oversee accurate and timely completion of all NDT reports and technical documentation
Ensure team compliance with Group reporting systems (FLEX, FIELDSPOT, SHAREPOINT, NEXUS, etc.)
Maintain organized records for audit and traceability purposes
Submit required reports to management and clients on schedule
Supervise, mentor, and coach CNDT and ANDT field staff
Provide constructive performance feedback and conduct evaluations
Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious team culture
Identify training needs and support professional development
Maintain current knowledge of NDT methods (UT, RT, PT, MT, TOFD, etc.)
Stay informed of industry standards, best practices, and regulatory updates
Provide technical guidance to field teams
Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions
Optimize routing and logistics for field operations
Reduce turnaround times and improve project delivery performance
Coordinate with other Area Managers for resource sharing and efficiency
Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure timely collection of Customer Satisfaction Surveys from clients
Analyze feedback and identify improvement opportunities
Implement corrective and preventive actions based on client feedback
Track satisfaction metrics and report trends to management
Minimum 10+ years in NDT operations, with significant experience in the Oil & Gas industry
Demonstrated experience in project leadership, team management, and client relations
Minimum NDT Level 2 certification in UT (Ultrasonic Testing), MPT (Magnetic Particle Testing), PT (Penetrant Testing), and PCN
OR ISO 9712 RTFI (Real-Time Field Inspector) equivalent
Current/valid NDT certifications required
Knowledge of ASME, ISO, API, and ASTM standards
Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written)
Strong project management and organizational abilities
Leadership and team mentoring experience
Client relationship management expertise
Safety-conscious mindset with HSE/OSHA compliance knowledge
Proficiency with digital reporting systems and MS Office suite
Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Experience with FLEX, FIELDSPOT, SHAREPOINT, NEXUS, or similar project management systems
Familiarity with advanced NDT methods (TOFD, Phased Array UT, etc.)
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
PMP or equivalent project management certification
Experience with IMS (Integrated Management System) requirements
