POSITION: Mechanic BUSINESS UNIT: Sterling Road Factory LOCATION: Toronto, Ontario REPORTS TO: Maintenance & Operations Manager
Nestlé Canada Confectionery has an immediate opening for a Mechanic to join the Maintenance team at our chocolate manufacturing plant, located in Toronto, Ontario. This is a full-time position and may involve shift rotation and weekend work depending on business needs.

A day in the life…
Must show initiative and responsibility to carry out assigned work promptly with minimum supervision.
Proactively execute the needs of a 24/7 operation while being able to respond to changing demands on short notice.
Use of SAP for Asset Maintenance Management (AMM) to manage work orders and closures.
Must have good mechanical / literacy aptitude to be able to effectively:
Must have a good attendance record.
Overtime work may be required including weekend.
Practice safe working methods as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Internal Management Policies to protect personnel and equipment.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Follow all GMP Rules & Regulations and Quality Checks
Work according to ISO 14001 Environment and OHSAS 18001 Safety requirements.
Ensure compliance with the Nestle Quality Management System (NQMS) and quality policy.
What will make you successful?
Valid Ontario Industrial Millwright License (433A), required.
Experience of Key Standard Routines and Predictive Maintenance tools & Systems is required.
Can thoroughly understand company policies and procedures.
Knowledge and/or Working experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), especially with Preventive Maintenance Pillar methodology is, required.
Experience in food or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of factory systems and SAP, are highly desired.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and excels at working within a team environment.
Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills, and can deliver results through people.
