Within Leonardo's Aircraft Division, in the Engineering Planning & Control unit, we are looking for a Planning Engineer for our office in Venegono Superiore.
The Planning Engineer is a highly qualified professional who manages project planning activities together with the Program Technical Manager. They collaborate with various Engineering and Division functions to ensure that activities are aligned with company objectives and procedures. Specifically, they develop, integrate contributions from departments, and monitor the Plan, identifying critical issues in a timely manner. Through planning tools, they collect and analyze data related to project performance.
The ideal candidate must therefore have knowledge of planning and management of engineering projects, preferably in the aeronautical sector, with a solid understanding of the timelines, resources, and processes involved in the realization of complex projects.
The resource will mainly deal with:
Project Plan Development:
In collaboration with the Project Technical Manager, develops the Engineering Plan in coherence with the TLPS and the budget.
Verifies the consistency of main milestone dates and deliverables during the project lifecycle.
Coordinates activities with the various Engineering departments to ensure correct execution of the plan.
Project Monitoring and Control:
Integrates and updates detailed departmental plans, verifying the coherence of timelines and resources (hours and costs) necessary for the completion of engineering activities.
Continuous monitoring of project progress in collaboration with the Chief Engineer, with particular attention to meeting deadlines.
Analyzes deviations from the initial plan and manages any corrective actions to resolve delays or problems.
Reporting and Communication:
Prepares periodic reports on project progress, including times, costs, and quality of engineering activities.
Regular communication with managers from other company areas to ensure a continuous flow of information regarding any changes to specifications or project objectives.
Participates in update meetings with engineering teams, management, and external stakeholders for the discussion of progress and issues.
Performance Analysis:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in management engineering and/or aeronautical ITS.
Seniority: Junior, 1-3 years of experience.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
Theoretical knowledge of industrial planning.
Basic knowledge of aeronautical standards.
Behavioral Skills:
Flexible attitude to manage changing priorities and multitasking activities.
Ability to work with tight deadlines.
Good problem-solving skills, with an independent approach, to make basic technical decisions.
Precision and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
Enthusiasm for innovation and sustainability.
Language Skills:
Good written and oral English proficiency.
Computer Skills:
Excellent knowledge of the MS-Office suite.
Knowledge of main planning tools, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or other project management software.
Other:
Availability for national and international travel.

How does the selection process work?
