The Medical Educator is a field-based position, focused on healthcare professionals (HCPs), within Abbott Diabetes Care in Switzerland. Their main mission is to provide medical-scientific expertise in diabetology and to ensure high-quality medical training on sensor-based glucose monitoring technologies (FreeStyle Libre™) in Switzerland.

The central objective of the position is to support diabetes treatment teams so that they can fully leverage CGM systems for their patient populations. The role also includes the credible transmission of scientific information as well as professional dialogue with healthcare stakeholders in the assigned geographical area.

The position requires close and compliant collaboration with commercial teams, while ensuring total medical independence and maximum scientific integrity.

Your responsibilities

• Provide medical-scientific expertise in diabetology to support FreeStyle Libre™ products in Switzerland; collaborate cross-functionally to develop, align, and implement strategies and programs at the customer level in your sector

• Create and present scientific and medical presentations for healthcare professionals, individually or in groups, in person, online, or as recorded content

• Conduct field visits with HCPs and discuss relevant medical-scientific topics based on available scientific data

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate internal training and development programs on medical-scientific topics

• Perform internal medical-scientific tasks (e.g., validations, Fair Market Value evaluations, B2B CRM activities) as well as administrative support

• Develop and maintain a network including scientific societies, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), physicians, and other relevant healthcare professionals

• Collaborate with ADC Medical Affairs teams in DACH, EMEAP, and globally

• Organize medical-scientific programs for local congresses, including specialized presentations

• Support the selection and implementation of specific elements and events of the FreeStyle Academy™

Your qualifications

• Recognized healthcare professional (e.g., diabetes educator, dietitian, or physician) with solid clinical experience in the management of people with diabetes

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry

• Established network in the field of diabetology in Switzerland

• Demonstrated ability to work proactively and solution-oriented

• Excellent organizational and project management skills

• Strong digital fluency and technical understanding

• Team spirit combined with creativity and autonomy

• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and evolve effectively in a matrix organization

• Proficiency in French, German, and English (depending on the region), Italian being a plus

• High mobility (approximately 80%, field position)
