Deputy Post: Taguig City, Philippines Professional Area: Accounting & Finance Role: Temporary (12 months) Professional Level: Experienced Reporting to: Accounting & Reporting Cluster CPM
The Accounting & Reporting team supports a group of JTI entities by handling a wide range of IFRS and local statutory accounting activities. The team is responsible for preparing and submitting monthly accruals, maintaining fixed asset and general ledger master data, and completing balance sheet reconciliations and trial balance reviews. They also prepare quarterly IFRS reporting for submission to corporate accounting, tax packages for corporate tax reporting, and statutory financial reports for the entities within the cluster. In addition, the team supports VAT return processes by validating invoices and prepares annual regulatory reports such as Country-by-Country Reporting (CBCR) and JCFC, ensuring all reporting requirements are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.
As an Accounting & Reporting Specialist in the area of Accounting & Finance, you will:
Prepare and analyze monthly accounting entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and prepaid, accrual, fixed asset, and reclassification transactions in line with IFRS and SLAs
Produce quarterly and annual group reports and support statutory audits, financial statements, and disclosures
Collaborate closely with market, factory, and controlling teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
Maintain and update process documentation, including user manuals and process flows
Support operational controls, JSOX compliance, and promptly escalate and mitigate control issues
Drive continuous improvement by meeting KPIs, enhancing SAP and accounting knowledge, and supporting process enhancements and UATs
Contribute to teamwork through ad hoc tasks, cross-GBS support, project participation, and training or mentoring of team members
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA, ACCA, or CIMA certification preferred
At least 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or external audit, with exposure to IFRS and financial reporting
Strong foundation in general accounting, financial statements, reconciliations, audits, and compliance (IFRS, tax, SOX)
Proficient in SAP and Microsoft applications, with intermediate Excel skills; shared services or system migration experience is a plus
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Self-driven, collaborative, and adaptable professional able to work mid-shift during month-end closing and meet tight deadlines
