Within the Aeronautics division, in the Aircraft B.U.,

Framed within the "Simulation & Training System (S&TS)" unit, "Advanced Analytics & Artificial Intelligence for training", we are looking for a Modeling and Simulation AI specialist for the Venegono office.

The candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

• Analysis of end-user needs and system specifications.

• Design of modeling and simulation application software.

• Support and management of CSCI and system integration.

• Analysis, creation, and processing of datasets.

• Validation and fine-tuning of artificial intelligence models.

• Development of HMI functionalities.

• Development of control models for simulated actors (i.e., CGF) based on Artificial Intelligence algorithms.

• Development of integrated artificial intelligence models for the analysis of biometric sensors applied to pilots.

• Design, implementation, and optimization of real-time Object Detection systems, with the aid of AI models to ensure high precision and high inference speed in critical applications.

The position involves interaction with colleagues from other units within the S&TS department's area of relevance, and with other company functions (Flight test, Avionics, Safety, Airworthiness and Software Certification, Quality, Configuration and Cyber Security) as well as with external suppliers.

Education:

Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, other specializations may be evaluated based on acquired experience.

Experience Level

• Junior (< 5 years)

Technical Skills:

• Writing hardware and software requirements;

• Architectural documentation for integrated hardware and software systems;

• Preparation of test procedures and test reports;

• Data analysis and preparation (data cleaning) of datasets;

• Creation of neural networks using PyTorch, Tensorflow libraries;

• Use of Object-Detection tools (e.g., Yolo);

as an added value:

• Ability to read functional diagrams;

• Knowledge of Remote Photo Plethysmography.

IT Skills:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages;

• Knowledge of C/C++, Java, Python programming languages.

• Knowledge of MySQL;

• Knowledge of HTML, Javascript, CSS;

• Tensorflow, Numpy, Pandas, Sklearn.

• Knowledge of MathWorks Matlab for data analysis;

• Knowledge of STM32 Cube IDE;

• Arduino IDE;

• Raspberrypy.

How does the selection process work?

Following the collection of applications, CVs most in line with the required qualifications are evaluated and identified. Selected candidates will have an introductory interview with the Human Resources team, covering motivation and aptitude, followed by an in-depth technical interview with the Business. At the end of the process, the person receives feedback, whether the outcome is positive or negative.
