Analyst, Materials Costing, Footwear & Equipment

As part of the Global Material Supply (GMS) Team, the costing analyst will manage all material costing related activities that services all Brands and products sourced through Asia Sourcing Office in South East Asia Region. The individual is responsible to manage and execute the footwear material cost benchmarking & pricing negotiation that maximizes “One VF” scale in leverage through analytics and brings a procurement mindset to the organization. The role has extensive focus to operationally connect with Brands, Sourcing, Suppliers, Finance, and Responsible Sourcing & Sustainability organizations. Frequent influential communication to external partners are required.

Key Result Areas:

• Manage the seasonal costing activities of footwear materials through the go to market calendar to ensure all milestones are timely met.

• Increase leverage of the “One VF” model through decisions supported by facts and data that will in turn support the material supply strategy in South East Asia

• Lead material cost negotiation tactics by establishing cost targets, utilizing fact-based methodology, and driving for positive outcomes in supplier facing discussions

• Establish annual material cost savings targets, drive initiatives, track progress, and report savings with close collaboration with GMS COE and Finance Teams

• Work cross-functionally in selection of global and local suppliers and materials that support material and manufacturing strategies and Product Development objectives.

• Manage the material costing database. Handle material cost benchmarking exercises - RFI, RFQ, brand specific commodity price update, saving tracking and price trend analysis.
