Materials and Processes Engineer (Space and Electronics Sector)

What are we looking for?

• An/a Materials and Processes Engineer, with at least 5 years of experience.

• Availability to join a stable project in Valdepeñas, Rivas Vaciamadrid or Valencia..

• Degree: Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Materials, Industrial Engineering or similar.

• Work Model: On-site

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Materials, Industrial Engineering, or similar.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in space projects related to electronic equipment.

• Proficiency in ECSS standards, especially: ECSS-Q-ST-70-61C (assembly of electronic components), ECSS-Q-ST-70-60C (acceptability of PCBs) and ECSS-Q-ST-70-28C (repairs).

• Knowledge of welding, cleaning, encapsulation, adhesives, and surface treatment processes in a space environment.

• Ability to write technical documentation in English (minimum level B2).

• Technical rigor, attention to detail, and quality orientation.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Define, validate, and control materials and manufacturing processes for electronic cards and electronic equipment for space applications.

• Oversee the qualification of electronic component assembly processes in accordance with ECSS-Q-ST-70-61C.

• Ensure compliance with PCB acceptability requirements in accordance with ECSS-Q-ST-70-60C.

• Coordinate and document electronic assembly repair activities in accordance with ECSS-Q-ST-70-28C.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation: process sheets, qualification reports, assembly and repair procedures.

• Participate in internal and external audits, as well as technical reviews with customers and space agencies.

• Work closely with the design, production, and quality teams to ensure industrialization in accordance with space standards.
