The role of a Region General Procurement Senior Buyer leads indirect procurement across multiple markets in APAC. Reporting to the Region Asia Pacific General Procurement Manager, the role owns category strategy and manages supplier negotiations and cost optimisation for indirect spend, partnering with Sales and Marketing Services stakeholders across a multi-Cluster organisation. This role is hands-on and strategic, driving savings, mitigating risk and standardising processes across markets while ensuring compliance and service quality.
Lead end-to-end sourcing for indirect categories: Sales and Marketing Services
Develop and execute category strategies aligned with Regional and Global Procurement goals
Run Request for Proposal (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs) and tenders
Negotiate contracts to deliver annual savings without compromising service
Act as primary Procurement partner for Regional and Country-level stakeholders across Clusters
Align demand, manage expectations and drive adoption of preferred suppliers and global contracts
Facilitate Regional sourcing and business reviews with key suppliers
Manage a portfolio of Sales and Marketing functions suppliers
Conduct performance reviews, risk assessments, and supplier development programs
Ensure compliance with global policies, Supplier Code and data privacy requirements
Lead contract lifecycle management and ensure all agreements are loaded in SAP Ariba
Standardise processes and templates across markets to improve efficiency and visibility
Work with Procurement Service Centre (PSC) to drive P2P process compliance and work with Finance to resolve claims issues if required
Report savings, cost avoidance, payment term extensions and KPI performance to Regional General Procurement Manager
University degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field. MBA/CIPS/CPSM a plus
Relevant experience in Indirect Procurement in FMCG or Pharma multinational environment
Proven track record managing multiple countries/markets simultaneously, experience with APAC markets preferred
Deep knowledge of Sales and Marketing categories
Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated delivery of hard savings and value beyond cost
Impactful business partnering skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
Analytical mindset, with competency in spend analytics and market benchmarking
Agility in managing competing priorities across countries and cultures
Resilience in navigating ambiguity and driving change in fast-moving environments
Experience with e-sourcing tools: SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, or similar
Fluency in English. Mandarin Chinese or other Asian language is a plus
