VEL - Aeronautical Structural Virtual Engineer

Within the Structure Technology Area, we are looking for an Aeronautical Structural Virtual Engineer for our Pomigliano d'Arco (NA) site.
Main activities:

Virtual modeling and FEM simulation of aeronautical structures (primary parts, assemblies and installations), including non-linear analysis and specific analysis for composite materials

Analysis of airworthiness and structural performance requirements, with development and application of stress analysis methodologies.

Definition and support for structural test programs, including test plan, laboratory support and evaluation of results for model and method calibration and validation

Application and customization of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to support simulation and analysis activities

Simulation of Additive Manufacturing processes with generative design and optimization approaches

Preparation of technical documentation (FEM models, stress notes, test requirements and evaluations, conformity matrices, description of methods and simulation guidelines) and collaboration with design, production, laboratory and national and international stakeholders
Educational Qualification:
Master's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
Required Experience Level:
1-3 Years of Experience
Technical Skills:
-
Knowledge of FEM tools such as Patran, Nastran, Apex and HyperMesh

Knowledge of linear and non-linear analysis

Knowledge of fatigue and damage tolerance analysis

Experience in CAD modeling in the aerospace field

Knowledge of analysis automation and scripting (e.g. Python for pre/post-processing)
