Within the Cyber & Security Solutions Area, we are looking for a Solution Architect for integrated multi-domain monitoring platforms for our Genoa / Rome Laurentina / Chieti Scalo offices.
Below is a list of the main activities foreseen for the role:
Define the end-to-end architectural vision for complex multi-domain monitoring and event management platforms that integrate heterogeneous sensors, command and control systems, video surveillance and intelligence
Design event-driven architectures for real-time event correlation and complex event processing on a large scale
Define integration strategies between physical security, cyber security, communications, intelligence and logistics systems
Design GIS-based solutions for geospatial situational awareness with 2D/3D visualization capabilities
Guide integration with CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) systems, video management systems and social media monitoring platforms
Define architectures for video analytics, object detection, tracking and real-time processing of multiple video streams
Establish architectural standards for incident management workflows and decision support systems
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams ensuring architectural coherence between backend, frontend, GIS, video analytics and AI/ML components
Produce architectural documentation according to industry standards (ICD, IDD, SSS, SSDD, SRS, SDD)
Provide mentoring to junior and expert Solution Architects on complex multi-domain architectures
Educational Qualification:
Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent. PhD is a plus.

Senior (more than 5 years of experience in the role or at least 7 years of experience in similar roles)
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
Design of complex enterprise architectures for monitoring and event management platforms in mission-critical contexts
Event-driven architectures and Complex Event Processing (CEP) for real-time event correlation from heterogeneous sources
GIS-based architectures for geospatial data management and situational awareness with 2D/3D rendering
System integration between heterogeneous domains (physical security, cyber security, communications, video surveillance)
Architectures for video analytics and computer vision on multiple real-time streams
Design of workflows for incident management and coordination of operational units
Compliance with international standards (ISO/IEC 27001, NIST frameworks) and emergency management protocols
Behavioral Skills:
Architectural leadership and mentoring skills for multidisciplinary technical teams
Excellent communication skills with technical and operational stakeholders (operations rooms, security forces)
Strategic vision and systemic thinking for complex multi-domain architectures
Ability to facilitate technical decisions in contexts with stringent operational requirements
Pragmatism in balancing technological innovation and operational reliability
Language Skills:
Native Italian speaker, Professional English (B2)
IT Skills:
Architectural modeling tools (SysML/UML, C4 diagrams, event storming)
Platforms for event processing and streaming (Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, stream processing)
GIS technologies (PostGIS, GeoServer, vector tiles, spatial indexing)
Frameworks for video management and analytics (ONVIF, RTSP, computer vision frameworks)
Platforms for AI/ML deployment and inference
Container orchestration and Infrastructure as Code for multi-component deployment
Other:
Availability for short business trips within Italy
Architectural certifications (TOGAF, Cloud Solutions Architect) are preferred qualifications
Experience in projects for operations rooms, law enforcement or civil protection is a plus
Knowledge of CAD/RMS systems or video management systems is a plus
Availability to obtain security clearance
