Job Description:

Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners of the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme) program, together with the British BAE Systems and the Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, aimed at the development and implementation of a new generation air system, defined as a “system of systems”. Employed for multi-domain operations in the defense sector, the system will be characterized by a “core platform” connected with other peripheral “adjuncts” systems, piloted and unpiloted. The program, among the most challenging and futuristic for the aerospace and defense industry, will drive the technological revolution that will characterize the sector over the next fifty years. A challenge aimed at strengthening the technological and industrial sovereignty of the countries involved, because it aims to identify and make available those innovative, so-called enabling technologies, which will ensure the generational leap, generating positive returns and economic and social progress for the entire country system, for the benefit of new generations. Within Cyber & Security Solutions, we are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for our offices in Genoa, Rome and Naples.

This person will be responsible for the following activities:

• Design, implementation, management and optimization of cloud-based systems and services (public Microsoft Azure and M365 SaaS services)

• Support the design of complex architectures to meet customer requirements with particular attention to security aspects (Integrity, availability and confidentiality), effectiveness and efficiency of the designed solutions.

• Ensure the scalability, security and performance of cloud environments, collaborating with architects, software developers and security engineers.

• Participate in the creation of Hybrid Cloud projects in the Defense and/or Industry markets

Education: degree in Engineering/STEM disciplines

Seniority: Expert 2-5 years of experience in Information Technologies projects and in Cloud and/or On-Premise environments with excellent knowledge of technologies and attention to security aspects

Technical knowledge and skills:

• Design experience on Microsoft Azure (at least 2 years of practical experience required)

• Knowledge of container orchestration solutions, Kubernetes

• Experience in designing Identity Management architectures (EntraID)

• Experience in designing and implementing SaaS cloud services ServiceNow, Microsoft M365, Teams, InTune

• Experience in designing architectures in HA, BC and/or DR scenarios is a plus

• Knowledge of monitoring and backup solutions

• Familiarity with DevOps and IaaC environments
