Within the Aeronautics Division, in the Aircraft B.U., within the Avionics Systems unit and specifically in the discipline of Engineering Support Systems to primarily carry out SW development and integration activities of ground support systems with initial reference to the Eurofighter program, we are looking for a Ground Support Systems (GSS) SW Developer to be based at the Turin plant.
The resource will be responsible for SW development and integration activities for Systems characterized by Engineering Support and Mission Support functionalities with the aim of ensuring the availability and full operability of already mature and effective skills for technological renewal of existing products already delivered to National and Export EFA Customers.
Main activities:
Identify, define and ensure maintenance and evolution of SW requirements for the entire life cycle of the Leonardo product, providing indications and verifying the completeness and quality for the drafting of SW Requirements Specifications (SRS) for ground systems.
Definition of the product's SW design starting from requirements, maintaining traceability with System/SW requirements and adherence to the architecture agreed with the project's SW Lead, to which they must contribute effectively.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhancement of SW Design, Coding and Testing environments in collaboration with specialists and system administrators (e.g.: Client vs. Server resource allocation, license management, performance evaluation, etc.).
Development of code integrated into an agile SW Development process through the use of collaboration tools to make the implementation of an automated SW release build pipeline as effective and efficient as possible.
Conduct the process in the SW Qualification phase with progressive extensive use of automated testing tools while maintaining adherence to test procedures and streamlining their update methods in coherence with the evolution of SW requirements.
Define Statement of Work for external SW development where applicable and integrate third-party SW parts.
Education:
Degree in Electronic / Computer Engineering
Required experience level (junior, expert, senior, master):
expert with at least 4 years of experience gained in the aeronautical sector in the field of ground system SW development
Technical/IT skills:
SW development based on .NET technology
Knowledge of C#, C++, ADA languages
Knowledge of MS Visual Studio SW Development environment
Skills in interfacing with the main DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
Knowledge of SQL languages
Knowledge of Windows Forms and WPF and Entity Framework evolutions
Knowledge of Microsoft Prism and Microsoft Managed Extensibility Framework (MEF)
Knowledge in managing versioning and configuration of software and documentary artifacts with IBM Engineering Workflow Management or equivalent technologies
Knowledge of Automated Testing tools (Keysight Eggplant or equivalents) and related Sensetalk programming language
Ability to analyze SW performance against available HW resources
Development of applications based on web and on-premise architectures
Microsoft Operating Systems skills
Ability to use requirements traceability and SW design tools (DOORS / RHAPSODY)
