Within the Avionic Systems Area we are looking for an Avionic Radar System Engineer for our Turin office.
The resource will be inserted within the Fighters Avionic Systems unit and in particular in the Fighter Avionic Systems Engineering discipline.
The resource will primarily deal with:
Support for the evaluation and drafting of technical documentation relating to Ground testing activities to be carried out on the E-SCAN Radar system on EFA aircraft;
Support for the evaluation and drafting of technical documentation relating to Flight testing activities to be carried out on the E-SCAN Radar system on EFA aircraft;
Support for System Engineering activities on the system including aspects of interaction with the IFF interrogator system;
Participation/preparation of input for meetings in the EFA avionic field;
Preparation of documentation and support for avionic Ground testing and investigation activities;
Analysis of Data Modules, maintenance manuals, Flight Manuals, check lists and support for their definition and updating.
Educational Qualification:
Diploma / Master's degree in Electronic or Aerospace fields
Required experience level:
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
Technical/IT skills:
Knowledge in System Engineering and avionic systems in general;
Knowledge of Radio Frequency principles;
Knowledge of the operation of Radar systems (in particular E-SCAN type Radar);
Knowledge of the architecture of Radar systems (E-Scan);
Knowledge of Qualification and Verification processes and procedures at system level;
Familiarity in testing interfaces from an electrical, functional data exchange and radio frequency point of view;
Knowledge of the functionalities, operability and maintenance (if required) of Rig Support Equipment (RSE) necessary to support all levels of testing (i.e. integration, formal testing) at the RIG;
Knowledge of the operability and maintainability of Radar systems to support system testing;
Knowledge of the operation of IFF systems;
Knowledge of performance data analysis methodologies (FT data);
Experience in defining requirements for onboard equipment;
Ability to use industry tools DOORS, Serena Dimension
Knowledge of the 1553 and ethernet protocols and their application to avionic systems are also highly appreciated.
NICE TO HAVE:
Resources with knowledge of the EFA Avionics architecture are preferred;
Experience related to product requirement management and traceability;
