Within the MANUFACTURING & SUPPLY CHAIN AIRBORNE BUSINESS area of the Electronics Division at the Campi Bisenzio office, we are looking for a special processes / optics technician.
The selected individuals will be responsible for overseeing the production activities of special processes such as thin-film treatments to be applied to optical components, paying particular attention to the constant monitoring of process efficiency in terms of performance and overall yield of the production line, intervening where necessary to restore optimal operating conditions; in particular, they will be responsible for the following activities:
Oversee the design and implementation of thin-film optical treatments;
Verify and analyze the performance of the finished product by comparing measured data with specification requirements, implementing appropriate corrective actions where necessary;
Lead the design and construction activities of mechanical tooling for processing optical components;
Draft testing procedures and/or operating instructions for production activities;
Draft technical reports for internal client delivery;
Proactively contribute to the concurrent engineering of new products;
Promote efficiency and continuous improvement of the production line;
Monitor and oversee the performance KPIs of production assets, contributing to the resolution of any problems highlighted by the indicators;
Use company tools to ensure the correct execution of production phases.
Educational Qualification: Master's degree in physics / industrial engineering / chemistry / electronics preferred
Required experience level: Junior (1-2 years)
Technical knowledge and skills
Theoretical competencies in the design of thin-film optical treatments and/or optics in general
Competencies and autonomy in carrying out optical/numerical analyses
IT knowledge for the development of data analysis tools/applications
Knowledge of technical instrumentation (spectrophotometers, microscopes, etc…)
Basic theoretical ability to design test setups
Basic knowledge of production flows and quality aspects
Understanding and knowledge of optical and mechanical drawings
Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing approaches
