Assembler - Second Shift (2:00pm-10:00pm)

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks Assemblers who wish to work in a fast paced and ever changing high tech environment. We currently have availability on our second shift:

Second shift: Monday -- Friday, 2:00pm -- 10:00pm

As an Assembler, a typical day might include the following:

• Following detailed work instructions to perform basic production duties such as assembly, operating machinery, packaging products, building products and soldering.

• Obtaining a basic understanding of quality and productivity standards.

• Demonstrating a willingness to learn, retain information, and become proficient in basic electronic production processes.

• Learning and following all safety policies.

• Developing positive and effective working relationships with co-workers.

• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Assembly experience.

• Word processing and spreadsheet skills.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 40 pounds frequently

• Sit and/or stand at least 8 hours

• Vision correctable to 20/30 or better

• Fine finger dexterity sufficient to handle and place parts with precision and accuracy for at least 8 hours

Pay Range Data New hires generally start at $21.00 per hour (second shift has a shift differential of $1.75 per hour). We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
