Gruppo Lactalis Italia is looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join the Industrial Department of the BU Milk, within the Savigliano (CN) plant.
The resource, reporting hierarchically to the Plant Director and functionally to the Milk BU Continuous Improvement Manager, will be responsible for promoting the culture and principles of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement, specifically by carrying out the following activities:
Conduct the annual and periodic Hoshin Kanri process of the plant: in this context, promote improvement projects on plant processes, directly involving operators and guiding them in finding solutions, supervising the monitoring of strategic KPIs;
Promote the spread of the 5S methodology, aimed at improving the state of order and cleanliness within the production departments, also through the use of tools for "visual" management of processes (whiteboards, color codes, kanban systems…);
Promote a system for reporting anomalies found on production lines, through a shared analysis of causes and possible solutions: to this end, receive, evaluate and analyze specific reports from line personnel;
Develop a KPI system aimed at constantly monitoring managed projects, promoting coordination meetings with shift supervisors, the Production Manager, other functional managers (e.g., quality, laboratory, maintenance, etc.) and the Plant Manager, in order to update them on the status of ongoing processes and initiatives to be launched;
Organize training sessions on Lean Manufacturing topics to raise awareness among operators and management of the culture of continuous improvement;
Carry out frequent on-site reconnaissance (gemba), interacting with line operators, both for process analysis and to verify the application of improvement actions, adherence to standards and the use of visual management systems.
REQUIRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience of at least 2/3 years gained in production contexts;
Degree in Engineering or in economic/technical disciplines;
Previous experience in the role of shift supervisor or department head is appreciated;
Origin from structured companies in the production sector (preferably food or pharmaceutical sector);
Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and participation in specialized courses or qualified masters in Kaizen and/or Lean Manufacturing is appreciated;
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles;
Knowledge of statistical survey and analysis methods;
Knowledge of the "field" dynamics of a production plant;
Advanced use of the MS Office package, especially Excel;
Good knowledge of English;
Ability to analyze and synthesize results;
Leadership and ability to involve in an extended team;
Organizational and problem-solving skills;
Ability to achieve results in complex organizational environments;
Proclivity for discussion, proactive approach oriented towards change, innovation and sharing;
Strong communication skills, ability to adapt to the interlocutor ensuring effectiveness.
