Registered Nurse
Position: Registered Nurse, Location: St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Brighton, MA
POSITION SUMMARY: As an RN on S7E, our Surgical/ Stepdown (PCC level) unit, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model you will be able to deliver excellent care to surgical patients from a variety of specialties including orthopedics, vascular medicine, thoracic, bariatric and complex medicine. S7E is a 30-bed unit with a skilled nursing staff, and candidates will work with our educators to ensure a robust orientation and training with a preceptor to ensure that you are prepared to optimal patient care.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver nursing care in the S7E unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients

Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families

Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues

Update and manage patient records

Enter and interpret computerized data/information

Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization

Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

PCC certification preferred, training for PCC education will be offered as part of a plan for professional growth.

Previous Med-Surg experience preferred.

Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
