The ABC News Assignment desks in New York and Los Angeles are looking for Freelance Production Associates to join their teams! If you’re willing to work on site, as well as flexible hours including, overnights, weekends, and holidays we want to see your resume! Responsibilities: Assist producers across all platforms and correspondents on field assignments. Identify, research, and pitch stories for news coverage. Make editorial calls to improve content quality. Monitor video feeds and breaking news for the entire News Division. Log and transcribe video.  Handle logistics, including booking travel, during breaking news. Write stories for ABC News Digital platforms. Basic Qualifications: Genuine interest in current events, journalism, and production. Excellent multi-tasker with attention to details. Proven ability to work under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication. Availability to work flexible schedules/extended hours/weekends, evenings, overnights. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience The hiring range for this position in New York, is $53,600 to $87,100 per year and in California is $51,200 to $83,000 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
