Team Introduction The Security Execution and Performance team oversees, manages and reports on TikTok's Global Security Organization's execution, capabilities, and utilization, while continuously evaluating and refining strategies to increase efficiency, improve effectiveness, and drive organization maturity. We ensure: - TikTok's Global Security Office has the appropriate tools, resources, and funding to execute initiatives and meet organizational goals - TikTok's Global Security Office portfolio of security projects are successfully completed by streamlining project management processes, increasing collaboration, and centralizing all in scope projects. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2024. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship cycles below: 1.May 20, 2024 to August 9, 2024 2.May 27, 2024 to August 16, 2024 3.June 10, 2024 to August 30, 2024 We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Responsibilities - Provide technical strategy and coordination for cross-functional security projects. Projects will deliver operational security services. This could include projects related to data protection, content assurance, incident management, security metrics, or other traditional security discipline. - Coordinate stakeholder work streams across disciplines and regions. - Create and maintain project plans and roadmaps in accordance with organizational priorities; define delivery methodologies and drive project execution. - Work closely with security, privacy, and engineering leaders to understand organizational priorities and to sequence and/or execute projects accordingly. - Manage various collaboration tools and reporting dashboards to ensure accurate and timely status updates on project execution. Qualifications- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree in Computer Science, Cyber or Information Security, Data Science, Information Technology, Risk Management or related field. - Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2024. - Familiarity with technical security operations or security engineering experience. - Familiarity with technical program or project management methodologies. - Experience operating autonomously and leading across multiple teams, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones. - Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and thought leadership. - Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems. - Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment. Preferred Qualifications - Graduating December 2024 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship. - Experience working for a company with a with a global footprint. - Excellent written and oral communication skills.
