RESPONSIBILITIES Based in Ludwigshafen, our team is driving digital transformation at three locations across Europe. We accompany Industry 4.0 projects from brainstorming and prototypes to commissioning in production and infrastructure. In doing so, we use a wide range of modern methods from data science, machine learning, statistics and scientific computing, relying on flat hierarchies and agile working. As part of the interdisciplinary team you will develop data-based Industry 4.0 solutions from a single source. You will support us from the conception to the use of the solution in the plant, and if possible, you will be responsible for your own sub-area. You work closely with local companies and an interdisciplinary network of experts. The main areas of work depend on your interests and skills. Possible topics are, for example, model development for the simulation and optimization of process engineering processes or the development of AI-based assistance systems. You use methods from data science (from linear models to deep learning) or scientific computing (ODEs, parameter estimation, dynamic optimization). Our supercomputer Quriosity is at your disposal for this purpose.
