A challenge aimed at strengthening the technological and industrial sovereignty of the countries involved, because it aims to identify and make available innovative technologies, called enabling technologies, that will ensure generational leaps, generating positive returns and economic and social progress for the entire country system, benefiting new generations.

Within the Simulation, Ground Support Equipment and Training Systems Area, we are looking for a Ground Support Systems AI Specialist for our Turin site.

The resource will primarily be responsible for:

• Definition of the product SW design and architecture

• Definition of SW requirements, allocating directives for the drafting of SW Requirements Specifications (SRS) for ground systems supporting 6th Gen platforms and beyond

• Definition and optimization of SW Design and Coding environments in collaboration with specialists and system administrators (client vs. server resource allocation, license management), maintenance and updating of the SW development Toolchain

• SW development with direct and autonomous generation of source code and definition of development directives for other developers

• Definition of SW test strategies with progressive extensive use of automated testing tools starting from traditional methodologies

• Defining Statement of Work for external SW development where applicable and integrating third-party SW parts

• Conducting SW Tests, reporting periodic progress, criticalities, and proposals for recovery actions

Specifically, in the context of AI and innovative technologies, it is required to:

• Design and develop advanced artificial intelligence algorithms to solve complex problems.

• Optimize models for performance, accuracy, and computational efficiency.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate AI solutions into corporate products.

• Research and implement innovative solutions in the field of machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI.

Education:

Master's degree in Electronic Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence

Required Experience Level:

Junior with basic experience

1-2 years of experience in SW development, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence

Technical/IT Skills:

• SW development based on .NET technology

• Knowledge of C#, C++, Python languages and associated libraries (e.g., Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib, Plotly, PyTorch)

• Versioning tools, SW configuration control, and collaborative development (e.g., Git, VSCode)

• Skills in interfacing with major DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)

• DBMS integration (e.g., PostgreSQL) with containerization tools (e.g., Docker)

• Microservices SW development (e.g., with Kafka) and 'refactoring' of monolithic architectures

• Ability to analyze SW performance against available HW resources

• Development of applications based on web and on-premise architectures

• Microsoft Operating Systems skills

• Skills related to automating SW test procedures

NICE TO HAVE:

• Knowledge of avionics systems and application of functionalities to govern mission planning

• Skills in distributed computing and managing robust clustering on large datasets.

• Knowledge of project engineering aspects

• Knowledge of SQL languages

• Knowledge of major applicable design standards and certification (AQAP, MIL, FAA, EASA)

• Certifications for successfully completed courses in microservices, CI/CD, containers, BDA
