Business Analyst

Job Description

The Business Analyst will participate in the analysis and writing of specifications for the design, development, and rollout of our Data Factory framework. In this role, you will work side-by-side with developers, data engineers, and product owners to turn business needs into a robust, scalable data-aggregation platform.

• Gather and analyze requirements from business stakeholders, data owners, and regulatory teams

• Translate business needs into functional specifications (user stories, acceptance criteria, data-model diagrams)

• Create and maintain documentation (requirements catalog, data dictionary, process maps, test plans)

• Facilitate test planning by participating in design test cases

• Communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders through sprint demos, status reports, and reviews

• Identify improvement opportunities in the transversal framework, propose enhancements

• Collaborate with the ETL development team to design optimal data-flow and transformation logic

• Define, implement, and maintain the data-quality framework (rules, thresholds, validation checks)

Profile

• Strong knowledge of the financial and banking sector

• Agile Project-Management Tools – Manage backlogs, user stories, and traceability in Jira or Azure DevOps; ensure requirements are linked to test cases and delivery artifacts.

• Notions in managing data migration projects and performing large-scale data manipulation and aggregation

• SQL development skills (Oracle is the DB used)

• PL/SQL development skills

• Portuguese C1
