Cloud DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and operation of cloud infrastructures in close collaboration with senior Cloud and Platform Architects.

• Provision and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code practices, primarily Terraform/Terragrunt and Git-based CI/CD workflows enhanced with AI.

• Operate and support Kubernetes-based platforms running containerized applications, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

• Develop automation to improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

• Operate and integrate managed cloud services (compute, networking, storage, databases, messaging) across AWS, Azure, and GCP, in line with security and operational standards.

• Collaborate within an international agile team to deliver high-quality solutions, continuously improving platform stability and developer experience.

• Contribute to team delivery, knowledge sharing, operational procedures, and skill development, using modern open-source tools such as Docker, ArgoCD, Quarkus, and GitHub Enterprise.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed university studies in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a comparable field

• 1+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms and services, preferably AWS or Azure.

• Practical experience or solid foundational knowledge in cloud platforms and containerization, including AWS (EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, networking basics), Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes fundamentals.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and operations, including Terraform, Bash scripting, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and basic monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with modern DevOps and Agile ways of working; experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive learning mindset; AWS or Azure certifications are a plus or willingness to obtain them.

• Very good communication skills in English and Polish; German is a plus, along with openness to a hybrid working model (presence in the Katowice office once per week).
