Job Description:

Within the Cyber & Security Solutions Area, we are looking for a Data Analyst for our offices in Rome Laurentina and Catania.

The person will be responsible for the following activities:

• Analyze, transform and validate large volumes of data.

• Design and develop batch and streaming data processing pipelines.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams for the creation of ingestion and processing workflows.

• Analyze data quality and support troubleshooting activities.

• Optimize queries and processing processes.

• Collaborate in the design of data models and Data Lake.

Education: STEM Degree

Seniority: Expert - At least 2 years of experience as Data Analyst, Data Engineer or equivalent role.

Technical knowledge and skills:

• Excellent knowledge of SQL.

• Good knowledge of Python.

• Knowledge of Scala.

• Experience with at least some of the following technologies (or equivalents):

  • Apache Spark
  • Apache Kafka
  • Apache Airflow
  • S3 compatible Object Storage (MinIO, Ceph, AWS S3, Azure S3 Compatible, etc.)
  • Apache Trino (or equivalent distributed SQL engines like Presto)

• Knowledge of the main Big Data formats:

  • Parquet
  • Avro
  • Delta Lake

• Familiarity with Linux and Git environments.

Preferential requirements

The following will be considered a preferential title:

• Experience with Java frameworks, in particular Spring Boot.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker containers.

• Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).

• Experience with data versioning systems (Iceberg, Hudi or Delta Lake).

• Knowledge of orchestration and monitoring tools.

• Experience with modern Data Lakes and Data Warehouses.
