Join our team within the Simulation Methods department of engineering at Renault Group in Guyancourt (France) and participate in the transformation of automotive design. We offer a Bac+5 engineering internship specialized in numerical simulation in the field of vehicle aerodynamics. This position is eligible for teleworking up to a maximum of two days per week.

Vos missions

You will contribute to the development of numerical methodologies with Starccm+ software to perform aerodynamic calculations on complete vehicles. More precisely,

• You will become familiar with the different methodologies available at Renault for aerodynamic drag calculations (SCx) and air circuit (airflow through front thermal exchangers) via massively parallel HPC (High Performance Computing) calculations.

• You will contribute, with CFD engineers, to identify post-processing and automations still to be developed to industrialize the Starccm+ methodology on complete vehicles.

• You will carry out and validate these post-processing and automations.

You will work daily with the CFD engineers of the methods team and exchange regularly with the company's aerodynamic community and with the editor. You will thus develop your CFD skills and have a good vision of the business world in general and of the aerodynamic design of automobiles in particular.

Qui êtes-vous ?

You are preparing for a BAC+5 degree in an engineering school specializing in aerodynamics or numerical fluid mechanics and you are looking for a 6-month internship starting in January 2027.

Previous experience with one of the following solvers would be a plus: Starccm+, Fluent, Powerflow, ProLB, or equivalent.

You have an excellent level of English to collaborate with international teams.

You know how to work in a team and communicate effectively.
